“Dar” means “home” in Arabic and the literal meaning of “Darat al-Qahwa” is “The House of Coffee”. The guiding principal of our brand, of every action we take is to treat our Guests exactly like one would treat a respected guest visiting your House… your personal Home… your “Dar”.
Darat al-Qahwa’s history dates back to the late 1960’s with the sale of imported green beans to the local market. In 1970, the first Darat al-Qahwa opened in the “Queen’s Building” in al Balad, downtown Jeddah.Today Darat al-Qahwa operates 70+ locations across 8 cities in KSA, will have up to 100 operational outlets by 2025
It quickly became a local landmark and the most popular café in the city.
